Introduction:

Most dimmers adopt phase control method. When the control component such as SCR conducts, a large current goes through the lamp. This surge current is the cause of the filament jamming. Although the average power drop can still achieve the dimming effects, the surge voltage and current will cause the vibration noise of filament and reduce the lamp life. Moreover, the high frequency noise will interfere with the surrounding electronic equipments. Lite-Puter has developed a delicate sine wave dimmer to solve these problems. Under standard DMX signal, it can output quiet pure 0-100% sine wave AC voltage. No filament noise and damage to lamps come from surge current.
